Datacentreplus are proud to announce their attendance at Lancashare Day. Lancashare day is a celebration of Lancashare’s first birthday, its people and businesses. More than 230 businesses joined in the celebration with Datacentreplus, which took place at Preston Guild Hall.
Lancashare is an online resource for Lancashire business, which aims to offer a single online portal for business owners and managers to find support for their organisation. Lancashare Day was hosted to give Lancashare members one chance a year to come together and genuinely celebrate Lancashire and collaborative working.
The day began with a red-carpet arrival, followed by facilitated networking and refreshments, Lancashire lunch, fizz and Lancashire themed entertainment. Special guests included the High Sheriff of Lancashire, the Mayor of Preston, and Simon Rigby MBE, owner of Preston Guild Hall were also present at the celebration.
Guests were also entertained by a Lancashire dialect poet, and finally played out by the fabulous Lancashire band, the Houghton Weavers!
Founder of Lancashare, Lisa Edge commented on Lancashare Day:
“The event was only possible with the genuine support of so many. Businesses worked to ensure our day was filled with added value with sponsors supporting the drinks reception, the catering, the print, the roses, cake and so much more. Indeed, it shows just what can be achieved when a county works together.
When we started Lancashare, we knew it was a need, but had no idea how well the concept would be embraced by the county and we are overwhelmed with the response. In our first year we have seen hundreds of businesses welcomed into the Lancashare family, we have declined investors, recruited staff, gained a media partner, and launched in a second county, Manchester with Mancheshare. Both platforms were delivered at the NEC in Birmingham recently, where demand for the concept has spread even further afield.
A massive thank you to every single business that attended and supported us, they managed to share over £11,000 in savings and discounts to each other on the day, as well as winning prizes and raising valuable funds for two local charities”.
Account Manager, Stephen Hobson who was also in attendance said:
“It was an early choice for Datacentreplus to become a Lancashare partner. When you look at the work and commitment Lisa and the team put into creating a share space which assists all businesses across Lancashare, it is absolutely fantastic. We are proud of the work we do with Lisa and look forward to supporting Lancashare on its very bright future”.
